Bourstad competition: a springboard to finance!

Who wouldn't dream of investing 200,000$ without touching their savings? This is the virtual practice exercise offered by the Bourstad competition of which CFA Montréal is the financial partner. Every year, this CIRANO-led initiative introduces several thousand students to the world of portfolio management in a hands-on, professional way, giving them a window on new career options.

It is this mission of financial education that lies at the heart of CFA Montreal's participation in this major financial literacy project, and the desire to encourage young girls to discover this profession.

The winners of the Bourstad 2024 competition were announced on May 22 in the presence of Danielle Filistin, CFA, director of CFA Montréal and vice-president of the jury, and Jo-Ann Hajdamacha, general manager. 

Congratulations to the four competition winners, who each received a 1000$ bursary from the Association!
