You are at the heart of our concerns

Today, there is no longer any doubt that diversity in investment teams generates long-term returns. A new CFA Institute program challenges companies to foster a more inclusive investment profession, and to take concrete steps to encourage diversity. Our CFA designation exams in June attracted over 2,000 people, including 25 % women, proving that women are increasingly interested in the finance profession.

A sign of the times, in June Margaret Franklin, CFA became the first Canadian to chair the CFA Institute. We were delighted to welcome her last month at this year's Women in Investing event, which attracted over 190 attendees. Let's hope her remarkable career inspires many women to choose a career in finance! Incidentally, the CFA Institute offers scholarships reserved for women to access the CFA program, apply now for the June 2020 exam.

To invite you to become part of the CFA community, I'm pleased to announce that we'll be holding a draw for tickets to our various events. The draw will take place among all candidate CFA Montreal members, who will be notified by e-mail. Become a member.

We're giving you the opportunity to make your voice heard and help improve CFA Montreal's services to candidates. We're looking for volunteers to participate in a committee that will look at how CFA Montreal can better support you in your CFA journey. If you are interested, please contact us.

Happy autumn, and good luck to those taking the Level I exam in December!
