They are students, sometimes already enrolled in the CFA program...and they find the energy to embark on the adventure of the Research Challenge! In addition to being courageous and ambitious, the participants in this annual competition have demonstrated, right from the start, great winning qualities. Our hats are off to team members from Concordia University, HEC Montréal and McGill University, who threw themselves into the annual Research Challenge 2024.
After months of intensive research and preparation, the teammates presented the fruit of their analysis to the industry judges. Transcontinental Inc. was the exciting case at the heart of the competition, providing an extraordinary learning opportunity for the students who rose to the challenge with flying colors!
The final of the 2024 edition of the local competition organized by CFA Montréal and CFA Québec, held on February 15 at Espace CDPQ, was the scene of the big winners. The McGill University team, represented by Owen Anderson, Charles Kiriazis, Britton Quirk, Philippe Rabello and Jordan Rindler, deserves a round of applause!
Thanks to their teacher Vadim di Pietro, CFA, and mentor Dion Madsen, CFA, for supporting them in their preparation for this formative exercise, which can only strengthen the skills of these future professionals.
We wish good luck to the team representing Quebec at the upcoming regional events organized by the CFA Institute, which could take them all the way to the world finals in Poland in May.
