François Crémet, CFA

François Crémet joined BDC Capital in 2025 as Vice President, Strategy & Operations. He leads the development and execution of BDC Capital’s business and portfolio strategies, oversees the thought leadership program—designed to address market needs—and manages advanced analytics, governance and operational oversight, ecosystem stakeholder relations, and investor development programs.

Previously, François worked at CDPQ, initially as Senior Director, Strategic Alignment and Transformation, where he drove the globalization program, and later as Senior Director, Sustainable Investment. In this role, he led activities related to value creation on sustainability issues for the private equity portfolio. He also oversaw initiatives related to impact investing, digital and analytics strategy, and equity, diversity, and inclusion for portfolio companies and managers.

François also spent over ten years in strategy consulting, first at SECOR and then at KPMG. He supported leading organizations, mainly in the financial services sector, in their strategic thinking and business transformations, as well as in projects focused on customer strategy, leadership development, operating model review, stakeholder management, and organizational culture evolution.

François holds a Bachelor's degree in business administration from HEC Montréal, with a specialization in finance, as well as the CFA designation. He is a graduate of the Global Village for Future Leaders of Business & Industry program from the Iacocca Institute at Lehigh University and obtained the Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) credentials from the IFRS Foundation and the Certificate in Climate & Investing from CFA UK.
