Pascal Bernier, CFA

As a portfolio manager, Pascal Bernier oversees strategic asset allocations for institutional clients. He selects investment strategies and structures portfolios tailored to clients' needs and objectives. In this role, Pascal leverages his extensive portfolio management experience to benefit institutional clients and partners.

Working as an actuary and investment specialist for the past 20 years, Pascal has acquired solid expertise in investment management, carrying out mandates for various types of institutional clients, including pension funds, insurance companies, foundations and religious orders. He has held positions of increasing responsibility at companies such as Mercer, Normandin Beaudry and Standard Life, later acquired by Manulife. Before joining DGAM, he led the asset-liability team as senior director of investment at Optimum Asset Management.

Pascal holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from the Université de Montréal. He’s a chartered financial analyst and a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.

He has been a member of the board of directors of the Association de la Retraite et des Avantages Sociaux du Québec from 2019 to 2025.
