We generally obtain personal information directly from the information you provide to the Association. There are a number of ways in which you can provide personal information to the Association:

  • Through your use of the Site, such as by opening an account and registering to receive newsletters;
  • Through your online account with the Association or CFA Institute;

We hire third parties to perform services related to the operation of this Site and our organization. Directory of Association members
You may be able to choose to publish additional information in the online member directory by changing your account preferences (Not currently available).

Event participants
For some Association events, we may make personal information about all event participants available to other participants and partners. This information may include name, employer, address and e-mail address.

We may share personal information when required by law or at the request of government regulators or other law enforcement officials and the courts.

Association networking and social media sites

The Site may provide opportunities to participate in social networking, to interact with others or to submit or post messages or other content, such as Association blogs.

In order to keep your data up to date, it is important to make these changes to your profile on our Site as well.

While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit. We recommend that you take every precaution to protect your personal information when you are on the Internet.
