Python training: a 360° view of concepts and the language

Learn the basics of Python, a language for portfolio management optimization and rigorous data analysis.

This interactive virtual classroom course is designed for professionals wishing to learn the basics of the Python language. Building progressively on the fundamental concepts of the Python language, you will apply what you have learned by developing scripts for a variety of applications.

At the end of the training, you will be able to :

- Describe the basic syntax of the Python language

- Developing scripts in Python

- Accessing data with python

- Monitor program execution, identify and correct problems

Knowledge of basic algorithms is strongly recommended.

This course is a prerequisite for the Advanced Python offered by CFA Montréal on April 21 and 28, 2022.

This 7-hour introductory course to Python will be given online (Zoom), in French, by an ÉTS trainer. It will be held on two Friday afternoons on February 4 and 11, 2022, at a rate of 3.5 hours per date (1 to 4.30 p.m.). The format will be 50% interactive, 50% exercises.
