In keeping with a long-established tradition, FIAMtl's M\u00e9choui once again brought together many of Montreal's financial professionals in a convivial atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the 12th<\/sup> edition of this prestigious event, held on August 21, Adriana Arrillaga, CFA, was awarded the honorary prize highlighting the exceptional commitment of a woman who has left her mark on the financial and investment community through her dedication and influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surrounded by numerous members of the association, including President Sandy Poir\u00e9, CFA, Adriana was warmly applauded for her inspiring role with the next generation and for her initiatives to open the doors of our profession to women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a remarkable career, notably at Fleming Asset Management where she managed North American mandates for foreign pension funds, Adriana has become an influential figure in our field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A graduate of the John Molson School of Business and holder of the CFA designation, she has never stopped giving back to the community and has always taken women's financial education to heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A former member of CFA Montreal's Women in Investment Management committee, she has been involved in numerous initiatives to support women in finance and increase their representation in our network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has inspired many young women at the association's career days, passionately sharing her journey and experience, and has helped spread the word about the CFA program to hundreds of students at Montreal universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adriana Arrillaga epitomizes generosity in the investment arena and wants to make a real impact with young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These family values she inherits from her grandmother, who financed scholarships for medical students in memory of her husband, Dr. Francisco Arrillaga, a pioneer of clinical cardiology in Argentina, and from her great-uncle, winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1970, who donated his award to his research laboratory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2018, she has personally funded an annual scholarship to encourage a Concordia University finance student to pursue the CFA designation. This rare and concrete gesture has already enabled nine recipients to take a decisive step in their career paths. For several years now, she has headed the selection committee for CFA Montr\u00e9al's scholarship program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adriana is also a founding member and donor of the Women Impact Montr\u00e9al fund, a former member of Tiger 21, and a voting member of Manitou Conservation.
The winner, who received the award with humility, said \"I'd like to thank CFA Montr\u00e9al and FIAM for this recognition, it's an honor to receive this award. It's a great joy for me to see the new generation of women succeeding in our industry.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
