Bourstad competition: a springboard to finance for young people!
Who wouldn't dream of investing $200,000 without using their savings? This is the virtual practice exercise offered by the Bourstad Competition of which CFA Montréal is the financial partner. Each year, this initiative, led by CIRANO, helps several thousand students to explore the world of portfolio management, in a concrete and professional way, which opens a window to new career choices.
It is this mission of financial education that is at the heart of CFA Montréal’s participation in this major financial literacy project, and the desire to encourage young girls to discover this profession.
The winners of the Bourstad 2024 competition were announced on May 22 in the presence of Danielle Filistin, CFA, board member of CFA Montréal and vice-president of the jury, and Jo-Ann Hajdamacha, Executive Director.
Congratulations to the four winners of the competition who each received a $1,000 scholarship offered by our Society!
